Leros: Numerous monuments scattered all around the island are proof of its long history and according to the Greek mythology, this is where the huntress goddess Artemis would go for deer hunting. In Leros Greece, you will also discover lovely beaches and quaint villages. Agia Marina with its signature flour mill, Pandeli with its medieval fortress, Lakki with its neoclassical architecture and Alinda with its relaxing atmosphere will make you feel as if you’re worlds away from modern civilization!

What’s more, Leros island boasts some beautiful, both organized and unorganized, beaches! Alinda and Vromolithos are organized, while the island’s coastline is fringed with small secluded coves. Leros has long been famed for its amazing seabed. Thanks to its reefs, little islets and shipwrecks, scuba diving is one of the must things to do in Leros!

Patmos: According to the tradition, Saint John the Divine was inspired to write the Book of the Apocalypse inside a cave in Patmos Greece. Today, the so-called “Cave of the Apocalypse” is one of the island’s main attractions. There’s also a large monastery dedicated to Saint John above Chora, the island’s capital. Thousands of pilgrims come to Patmos island every year to visit these two religious monuments.

Due to its spiritual character, the island plays host to many religious festivals and feasts, which are a perfect opportunity for travelers to introduce themselves to the tradition and history of Patmos.

Chora, the capital of Patmos is not only the island’s center of activities but also a very charming village. Its narrow alleys and the amazing view of the Aegean Sea make it a perfect place for wandering.

Fournoi

Fournoi: The islets that collectively constitute this complex are Fournoi, Thimena, Agios Minas and other ten rocky islands. Among them, only Thimena and Fourni are inhabited. The islet of Fourni is a remote island that only lately has developed as a tourist destination for nature and peace lovers.

Fourni is a fishing island with a wonderful coastline. The main village is also called Fourni and seems to be a fascinating hamlet adorned with mulberry trees, lined up in a beautiful array from the harbor to the village square. The island has some amazing hidden coves with sandy beaches and crystal water.

Most of the settlements on Fourni island are concentrated around the port. You can find delicious taverns. As Fourni is a fishing island, so seafood dishes are available in abundance there. Among the best beaches on the island are Psili Ammos beach, a few km to the north of the harbor, and Petrokopio beach to the south.

Lipsoi: Its remote location and small size have caused the island to remain unnoticed by mass tourism, preserving its unspoiled natural landscape, unspoiled seashores and traditional character of its main town.

Hiking, swimming or simply relaxing on the seashore are your go-to activities when visiting Lipsi. The island's seashores stand out for their crystal clear waters, peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking natural beauty. Most of them are unorganized, so they keep their unspoiled charm and laid-back atmosphere, rewarding the visitors with long relaxing days at the beach! For those who seek total isolation, Lipsi is full of charming secluded beaches

Kalymnos: The island is known for its rocky natural landscape. Due to it, the island has shaped up to be a top climbing destination and already counts many climbing clubs. What’s more, the International Climbing Festival is taking place every year in Kalymnos, attracting climbers from all over the world!

If you dream of holidays by the beach, Kalymnos is also a go-to destination. In general, the best seaside resorts are located on the western side of the island.
In Myrties, Kantouni, and Emporios, you’ll find many hotels, studios, and apartments. These seaside resorts also have amazing organized beaches with crystal clear waters.

A thing to know about Kalymnos is that it also has a long sponge-diving tradition. Even though the islanders don’t fish sponges for a living anymore, you’ll find many sponge sellers at the beachfront of Porthia, the island’s capital.

One of the must things to do is a trip to the neighboring island of Telendos. Telendos is a tiny remote island that boasts an incredible natural landscape. There, you’ll find many naturist beaches, secluded coves, and traditional settlements- the perfect place to relax away from the bright lights!

Arriving at Pserimos you will find Avlakia, the only village on the island, which is supposed to be built on the site of an ancient settlement. Even today, remnants of ancient dwellings can be seen, and parts of pottery dating back to Hellenistic times are often found in the sand. You can also find here the most popular beach of the island, which is distinguished for its white sand and has shallowwaters.

From the small port of Pserimos begins the uphill path which leads by a short route to the beach of Panagia Grafiotissa, where the small white chapel dominates, built on the site of an earlier Christian church.

Kos

It doesn’t take much to get excited about visiting Kos. The island is famous as the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, for its incredible selection of beaches and great food.

The Asklepion is Kos’ most famous archaeological site, with a history that’s at the heart of the island’s identity and a significance that travels well beyond its shores. Built in the 3rd century BC, it was designed not just as a sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius (the god of healing) but also as a medical school to continue the work of Hippocrates, who lived and taught his progressive medical theories on Kos more than a century earlier. It’s also one of the island’s most serene locations, built over three levels, with sea views and topped by a forest whose soothing aura would have been part of the therapeutic experience.

And on to the food, for which Kos is rightly famed. Wherever you find yourself – along the waterfront of the main town, from Kardamaina to Kefalos on the south coast, or on the beaches to the north – you’ll find tavernas and restaurants overflowing with local delicacies. As a cosmopolitan island, Kos offers vivid nightlife!
